THE HAUNTED Guitarist Checks In From KILLSWITCH ENGAGE Tour

January 19, 2007

Guitarist Anders Björler of the Swedish thrashers THE HAUNTED has issued the following update from the band's current European tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE:

"The tour is going great. Beyond our wildest expectations actually. We are amazed by the good turn-out, the overall positive reaction from the crowd, and of course the coolness of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE — so down-to-earth and genuinely nice people.

"We are currently in Holland awaiting the show at Tivoli in Utrecht after having had four days off in a row. The xBox tournaments have ruined my fingers, so hopefully I'll be able to play the guitar tonight.

"Our thoughts go out to [guitarist] Adam [Dutkiewicz] of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE who had surgery [for an injured back] the other day. Get well, bro!"

THE HAUNTED has launched its own YouTube video channel at this location. The group's video for the song "The Flood" has been posted online at this location. The clip was directed by Roger Johansson (ARCH ENEMY, HAMMERFALL, SOILWORK) in Sweden. The track comes off the new THE HAUNTED album, "The Dead Eye", which entered the national chart in Sweden at position No. 14, in Finland at No. 43 and climbed to No. 32 in Greece. A "making of" feature for the "The Flood" video can be viewed here. An e-card featuring two tracks from the CD — "The Medication" and "The Drowning" — can be accessed at this location.

THE HAUNTED will team up with DARK TRANQUILLITY and INTO ETERNITY for a North American tour in March/April.
