THE HAUNTED: New Video Interview With PETER DOLVING Available

November 7, 2008

Jukka "Jallu'02" Penttinen of Domination conducted an interview with vocalist Peter Dolving of the Swedish metallers THE HAUNTED before the band's October 8, 2008 concert at Club Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland. Watch the 12-minute chat below.

THE HAUNTED recently released a live video for the song "Moronic Colossus". The clip can be viewed below below.

Commented the band: "We recorded the whole show at Wacken Open Air [in Wacken, Germany] this summer and we picked 'Moronic Colossus' as a the first promo video. You might think releasing a live video as the first promo, would be odd, but considering [the new THE HAUNTED album] 'Versus' was recorded live, we all felt that this was a pretty natural choice."

THE HAUNTED has released the non-album track "Walk On Water" exclusively via the U.S. iTunes Music Store. The song was recorded during the sessions for the group's latest album, "Versus", which sold around 1,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This represents roughly half of the opening tally of its predecessor, "The Dead Eye", which premiered with 3,200 units back in November 2006.

"Versus" entered the Swedish chart at position No. 14 and the Finnish chart at No. 12.

An e-card for "Versus" can be found at this location.

The CD was recorded in part at PUK studio in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen (HEAVEN SHALL BURN, DARK TRANQUILLITY, MOONSPELL, etc),who previously worked with the group on its two most recent LPs, "rEVOLVEr" (2004) and "The Dead Eye" (2006).
