THE HAUNTED's ARO Was Not Misquoted: Finnish Journalist

February 28, 2003

The author of the previously published interview with THE HAUNTED frontman Marco Aro in which the singer slams label Earache Records over their business practices has provided to BLABBERMOUTH.NET Finnish-language MP3s of Aro making the alleged statements as proof that the singer was not misquoted.

Aro, who conducted the interview with Timo Isoaho of Kaista in Finnish, allegedly accused Earache Records of "lying" to the band with regards to their record sales and placed the blame squarely on the shoulders of the label for the group's recently-released DVD, "Caught On Tape", not having come out as well as the band had hoped for.

Since Aro's original comments were published on BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Earache Records has issued a statement on behalf of the singer challenging the authenticity of the quotes attributed to the frontman and has vowed to follow it up with an official press release, due in the next few days.
