THE HELLACOPTERS To Release New Single In June

May 12, 2007

Sweden's THE HELLACOPTERS, whose lineup includes former ENTOMBED drummer Nicke Andersson on guitar/vocals, has posted the following message on its official web site:

"Alright, we got a new single on the way called 'The Same Lame Story'. It will be available in June on CD exclusively with the next issue (#14) of Sweden's best rock 'n' roll rag Denim Zine. Check out www.denimzine.com for details on when and how to order. Bootleg Booze Records will release it on a vinyl 7" sometime in July if all goes well."

THE HELLACOPTERS is continuing work on an as-yet-untitled full-length album, which it hopes to complete before the end of the summer. It is once again being produced by Chips Kiesby (THE NOMADS, SATOR, THE TURPENTINES) while mixing duties will be handled by Henryk Lipp. A fall release is expected.

THE HELLACOPTERS' latest album, "Rock & Roll Is Dead", was released in the U.S. in February 2006 via Liquor and Poker Music. The American version of the CD contained two bonus tracks not included on any other version of the recording, as well as bonus video clips for the singles "Everything's on T.V." and "I'm in the Band".

THE HELLACOPTERS were nominated for a Swedish "Grammis" award last year in the "Best Rock Group of the Year" category.
