THE KNIVES Featuring NICK OLIVERI: Video Interview Available

September 22, 2008

Los Angeles-based rock band THE KNIVES, whose current lineup includes former QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE bassist Nick Oliveri, was recently interviewed by Possum of Altitude. Watch the 10-minute chat below.

According to PlugInMusic.com, THE KNIVES was formed in 2003 when singer Le'Von Webb and guitarist Brian Klenke, both heavily influenced by the music and style of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, KYUSS, BLACK SABBATH, THE CULT and THE STOOGES, discovered drummer Jonny Udell playing with another band in their rehearsal space. The group recorded its self-titled debut with producer (and OZZY OSBOURNE/ex-ROB ZOMBIE bassist) Rob Blasko. "Skin Flicks", the band's second album, was released through indie label Criterion Records (with distribution by Revelation). THE KNIVES' third and latest record, "Filthy Angel", was recorded with producer (and BULLETS AND OCTANE bassist) Brent Clawson, and was released by independent label Ares Records (distributed by Revelation).
