THE LEGION Completes Mixing 'Astonishing' New Album

December 17, 2008

Swedish black/death metallers THE LEGION, who feature in their ranks former MARDUK drummer Emil Dragutinovic, have issued the following update:

"The recording session for our third opus is finally coming to an end. We've just finished off mixing nine astonishing songs, which we're about to master with Peter In de Betou in Tailor Maid Production studios by the end of January. By that time we will have an exclusive new song [posted on our official web site], so be sure to check it out. We will be back with launch dates for the album as soon as we get them."

THE LEGION parted ways with Kjetil Hektoen last year. The remaining members of the band handled the vocals on the new material, which was previously described as "a bit more epic and 'majestic,' but at the same time very sick and twisted. The intensity is still there for sure but, we've focused more on getting the right feel, instead of getting entangled in technical twists."

THE LEGION released its sophomore album, "Revocation", in February 2006 via Listenable Records.
