THE MARTINI TWINS: Hot Twin Sisters That Put The 'Mmm' Back In Metal

May 16, 2008

THE MARTINI TWINS, the self-proclaimed "hot twin sisters that put the 'mmm' back in metal," are currently hard at work in the studio, both re-mastering their demo and recording 20 new songs "which are sure to become metal masterpieces," according to their bio.

The Los Angeles-based identical twin sisters Jazindra and Genieva Martini who list IRON MAIDEN, MEGADETH, STRATOVARIUS and NIGHTWISH as just a few of their "influences" were born on October 30, 1981 in the sleepy mining town of Bisbee, Arizona (the haunted little town was featured in Stephen King's 2006 movie "Desperation"). They have received more than 20,000 views for their YouTube cover of CHILDREN OF BODOM's "Bodom After Midnight", which was posted in December 2007, and they have since added their takes on TARJA's "Die Alive" and CRADLE OF FILTH's "Nymphetamine", all of which can be viewed below.

Jazindra said: "I'm really shocked at the response from the videos. We were totally just messing around, and BODOM is one of our favourite bands. The last thing we wanted was for people to think that we were mocking them, as we are very serious metal musicians. I mean, metal is our life, man."
