THE MERCY CLINIC Hard At Work On New Recordings

September 25, 2006

THE MERCY CLINIC, the new San Francisco Bay Area-based band featuring former DAMAGEPLAN frontman Patrick Lachman, guitarists Brian Harrah (PROFESSIONAL MURDER MUSIC) and Josh Stinson (DRIST),bassist Steed Najera (TRIPLE SEVEN),and drummer Bevan Davies (DANZIG, COMES WITH THE FALL, JERRY CANTRELL),is currently in the studio recording more new material which it will be using to either procure a suitable record deal or release on its own. "Pat and I are almost done tracking guitars and then we will decide which songs we are wanting to release," Harrah writes in an online posting. "After almost 1 1/2 years of writing, we have so much material that it isn't going to be easy to choose. We still haven't decided whether we want to release an EP or a full-length either. More details on that to come...

"Shows are being booked as we speak and dates will be posted soon.

"I can't for you all to hear the new material. It's been definitly worth the wait to me 'cause all we care about is making sure these songs come out slaying everybody!

"It's going to be pretty interesting what some peeps think of it 'cause I have talked to people who think it's going to be heavy and I have talked to people who think it's going to be more mellow. You're all wrong! HAHA. We've tapped into something pretty special and can't wait for everyone to get their hands on it. Either way, fuck the critics, 'cause as long as our friends in the CLINIC dig it then we don't give a shit about anyone else."

As previously reported, THE MERCY CLINIC has uploaded full-length versions of the demo songs "Let It Burn", "Masochist" and "Can I Become Me" at its MySpace page.

THE MERCY CLINIC has already demoed over an album's worth of material, including such additional cuts as "Numb" (mp3),"Drag Me Under", "We're Only Human", and "The Day the Sun Refused to Shine".
