THE PRETTY RECKLESS Interviewed By Germany's EMP ROCK INVASION (Video)
March 21, 2014EMP Rock Invasion recently conducted an interview with THE PRETTY RECKLESS, the band led by actress-turned-singer Taylor Momsen. You can now watch the chat below.
The second album from THE PRETTY RECKLESS, titled "Going To Hell", is expected to sell between 30,000 and 35,000 copies in its first week of release in the U.S., according to Hits Daily Double. Depending on other records' sales figures, that could be enough to land the disc in the Top 10 on The Billboard 200 album chart. The estimate was based on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores this past Tuesday (March 18). The chart will be published on March 26.
Momsen told The Pulse Of Radio that the band's goal for the new album was to create a set of songs they would enjoy playing live. "I think we all were subconsciously writing with the idea that we have to play this for the next two years of — hopefully the next 10, 20 but, you know [Laughs], at least the next tour cycle for sure. So we want to make it fun for us every night onstage."
"Going To Hell" follows up the group's 2010 debut full-length, "Light Me Up", as well as the 2012 EP "Hit Me Like A Man".
The single "Heaven Knows" hit No. 1 on the Active Rock chart, making THE PRETTY RECKLESS the second female-fronted act in the last three years, after HALESTORM, to top that survey.
THE PRETTY RECKLESS will next appear at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards on April 23 in Los Angeles.
