July 18, 2007

Yorkshire doom-death metallers THE PROPHECY have issued the following update:

"THE PROPHECY are pleased to announce that this year they will be playing not one but two European tours this year. Next month in August the band will head down to Portugal with Northern Ireland metallers HONEY FOR CHRIST to headline the Pontape ne Canela festival in Torres Novas. Prior to that the band will play a couple of dates in Southern Belgium — Arlon — on the Luxembourg border and Virton nearing France. The band are awaiting confirmation of a Spanish date after the festival in Torres Novas and will then go on to Oporto to play the El Diablo club. The band then have a date in September at the famous Snooty Fox with Nottingham's infamous ILLUMINATUS and Wakefield's own SCION. October will be a heavy touring month with a three-date U.K. tour planned with Dutch doomsters IN AGE AND SADNESS and London's mighty CENTURIONS GHOST. A week later THE PROPHECY will then head out to Europe for the second time for a week long tour of Austria, Germany, Belgium and Holland."

THE PROPHECY has set "Into the Light" as the title of its third opus, tentatively due next year.
