THE RED DEATH Part Ways With Bassist, Announce Replacement
January 4, 2006New York metallers THE RED DEATH have amicably parted ways with longtime bassist Dominic Mastronunzio. Replacing Dominic in the group's lineup is Jack Portwood, bassist/singer of upstate New York's HIGHLAND DRIVE. Portwood is "being brought up to speed and broken in, and is excited about the band and his future in it," according to a press release.
THE RED DEATH are currently practicing/writing/planning in preparation for studio time in late March or early April. "We plan to play as many shows as possible during this 'downtime,' so look for us in the grimmest of venues near you," the band write in a statement. "THE RED DEATH is also in the market for some new management and booking; all interested parties should contact the band at [email protected]."
THE RED DEATH's full-length debut, "External Frames of Referance", was released in April 2005 via Metal Blade Records.
