THE REVOLTING COCKS' PHILDO OWEN Unveils New Project SNOW BLACK

October 5, 2006

THE REVOLTING COCKS' Phildo Owen has announced that he will be unveiling his new project SNOW BLACK in Texas this month on a string of dates alongside industrial rock pioneers KMFDM. Joining him for the five-date tour are bassist Paul Raven (MINISTRY, KILLING JOKE),guitarist SIN (REVOLTING COCKS) and drummer Mark Dufour (SKREW).

"It's truly exciting to finally unleash the beast that is SNOW BLACK on the masses," says Owen of the upcoming shows.

"SNOW BLACK is a chance for us to forget the bullshit and just get down and greasy while pounding out ass-shaking grooves!" comments Paul Raven, a veteran of the industrial scene best known for his time with industrial post-punk act KILLING JOKE as well as thrash/alternative metal act PRONG and, most recently, MINISTRY.

"I can't wait to get out there and terrorize Texas with my very good friends and partners in crime Phildo, Raven and Mark!" adds REVOLTING COCKS guitarist SIN.

SNOW BLACK is Owen's latest project since his return from this summer's 60-date North American MasterBaTour 2006 (featuring MINISTRY and THE REVOLTING COCKS). He has since been in the studio putting the finishing touches on SNOW BLACK's debut album, entitled "The Suggestion of Power".

Set for early 2007 release, "The Suggestion of Power" is a collection of nine blistering industrial tracks layered with killer samples and Owen's trademark raw, gritty vocals; an electronic assault on the senses, the message is simple, yet urgent — it is Owen at his finest, weaving a dark and brooding lyrical web of tongue-in-cheek idioms to reflect the socio-political complexities permeating American culture.

The album, produced by Owen, also features a contribution from industrial mastermind Buck Satan (Al Jourgensen) on the first single "Stick It In"; the two first collaborated in 1990 when Owen lent his vocals to the title track of REVCO's raucous "Beers, Steers & Queers" album.

Four tracks from SNOW BLACK's upcoming debut full-length are now available for fans exclusively via the band's MySpace page:
