THE SKUDS To Release Limited-Edition CD/EP Through MOSHPIT TRAGEDY RECORDS
July 6, 2007Beer-fuelled crust punks THE SKUDS have announced plans to release an alternate CD version of their upcoming "Hellbound" seven-inch via Moshpit Tragedy Records' DIY Series. Limited to 100 hand-numbered and screenprinted copies in a mini-vinyl sleeve, "Hellbound +1" will also feature a new and as-of-yet unheard studio track from the band. Audio sample and cover art for the release can be seen at this location.
Hailing from Augusta, Georgia, THE SKUDS have become increasingly known for their fast, metal-edged crust punk, having gained a notorious amount of recognition through tape trading circles, vinyl releases and underground tours.
In March 2007, Moshpit Tragedy Records (who have signed an exclusive North American distribution deal with Cargo Music, Inc.) reissued the out-of-print "Ale to England" EP from U.K. crust act EXTINCTION OF MANKIND. The CD features new cover art and nine bonus tracks, captured live at an annual celebration of the life of Wayne Southworth, late singer of the influential U.K. crust band DOOM.
