Commented vocalist Sean Cuthbert: "We are very pleased to announce that we have signed on with well-renowned independent music label Eulogy Recordings. As one of the premier independent record labels in the industry, Eulogy has been home to a stellar roster of bands that includes UNEARTH, EVERGREEN TERRACE, NEW FOUND GLORY, IT DIES TODAY, SET YOUR GOALS, and DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL. We are proud to join the Eulogy family and are very excited to be releasing our upcoming album, 'The Sea and the Serpents Beneath', under their umbrella in March of 2010. We look forward to working with John and the rest of the Eulogy camp as we begin the new year with our new record, along with new merch and tour dates to be posted very soon."

Formed in the boroughs of New York City in 2003, THE SMASHUP is a tenacious quintet with strong devotion to DIY ethics, earning its moniker by the group's tenacity to "smash" through genre definition and also by the number of concussions the band has endured over the years (whether from stage chaos, or simply crashing a van into a moose after an AS I LAY DYING show, at 75mph).

THE SMASHUP is:

Vincent Alfieri - Guitar
Ant Cee - Drums
Sean Cuthert - Vocals
Vinny G - Guitar
Joshua Jaffe - Bass
