THE STORYTELLER To Go On Hiatus
May 31, 2006Swedish power metallers THE STORYTELLER have issued the following statement:
"The members of the Swedish metal band THE STORYTELLER have decided to take a break as of August 2006. The final gig before the break will be at Gävle Cityfest the 9th of August.
"This might come as a surprise to many of you, especially after releasing such a strong album as 'Underworld'. However, things came to such a point where the only solution was to take a break from the band. The break will last as long as it needs until we feel motivated and well-supported to get back together as THE STORYTELLER again."
THE STORYTELLER's fourth full-length album, "Underworld", was released in Sweden last November via Black Lodge Records. The follow-up to 2003's "Tales of a Holy Quest" was recorded over a four-week period at Studio Underground in Västerås, Sweden with producer Pelle Saether. The mix was done at Studio Flåklypa by Fredrik Groth and the mastering duties were handled by Peter In de Betou of Tailor Maid Productions. The cover art was designed by ProgArt.com.
