'The Voice' Contestant Forgets Lyrics To SKID ROW's 'I Remember You' On Live TV (Video)

Amber Carrington, the country singer from Rockwall, Texas who is a contestant on the NBC hit show "The Voice", forgot some of the lyrics to SKID ROW's "I Remember You" during this past Monday night's (June 3) show, so she made up some words on the spot, according to Yahoo! TV.

Carrington reportedly admitted to coach Adam Levine during rehearsal that she had never the song before, so during the opening verse in her live performance, she missed a few of the lyrics and replaced them with a few words she came up with as she was singing.

"People, they don't know that song and so they were like, 'No, I didn't notice it, but I totally forgot the freaking words, and I made up something," Amber told AccessHollywood.com's Laura Saltman backstage. "I don't know how that happened. But the words spilled out of me and I think they rhymed."

She added: "I was like, 'This is a live show and I'm about to like stand here and not know the words.'

"Adam noticed. I talked to his friend backstage and he had noticed, but I haven't talked to him yet, so we'll what he has to say. And it's one of his favorite songs, so I was like, 'Dang it!'"

"I Remember You" was the third and final single from SKID ROW's 1989 eponymous debut album. The power ballad was released in November 1989 and written by SKID ROW bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo. It reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 23 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks in early 1990.
