THE WILDHEARTS Frontman Cancels Acoustic Dates
December 8, 2003THE WILDHEARTS frontman Ginger has been forced to cancel the first three dates of his acoustic tour after coming down with a "throat infection," according to the singer's web site.
The affected dates are as follows:
Dec. 10 – Wolverhampton, UK - Civic Bar
Dec. 11 - High Wycombe, UK - White Horse
Dec. 12 – Cambridge, UK - Boat Race
The following shows will not be affected by the cancellation:
Dec. 13 - Milton Keynes, UK - Woughton Centre
Dec. 14 – Oxford, UK - Zodiac
Dec. 15 – Bournemouth, UK - Engine Rooms
Dec. 16 – Portsmouth, UK - Wedgewood Rooms
Dec. 17 – London, UK – Borderline
As previously reported, THE WILDHEARTS will release a special version of their "Riff After Riff" CD in the U.S. through Gearhead Records in the spring. The group's first American release since 1993's "Earth Vs The Wildhearts" will contain all the tracks from the Japanese version of "Riff After Riff" minus "Vanilla Radio", plus several bonus cuts.
THE WILDHEARTS will be performing at South By Southwest and undertaking a U.S. tour with THE DRAGONS beginning in March (dates to be confirmed).
