THE WILDHEARTS To Play 'Earth Vs The Wildhearts' Show In Helsinki

July 27, 2008

Long-running UK rockers THE WILDHEARTS will perform a third concert to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the release of the "Earth Vs The Wildhearts" album. In addition to the previously announced September 20 show at Shepherds Bush Empire in London and the November 23 gig at Akasaka Britz in Tokyo, Japan, the band will play Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland on Friday, September 19. All three gigs will feature "Earth Vs..." performed live in its entirety along with all of the B-sides from that era.

THE WILDHEARTS will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on Friday, August 15 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio show, aptly named "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the program live via the Internet between 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.

THE WILDHEARTS released "Stop Us If You've Heard This One Before Vol. 1" digitally on May 19.

The 12-track album is a collection of covers from some of THE WILDHEARTS' favorite bands and is available to download worldwide from all major (and not-so-major) digital stores.

"Stop Us..." marks the first time that each member of the band has taken on lead vocal duties on a WILDHEARTS release.
