THEM CROOKED VULTURES Rumored To Be Playing London Tonight

August 26, 2009

According to RollingStone.com, THEM CROOKED VULTURES — the new supergroup consisting of FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE singer/guitarist Josh Homme and LED ZEPPELIN bassist John Paul Jones — are rumored to be opening up for the ARCTIC MONKEYS (Homme produced the MONKEYS' new album, "Humbug") tonight at London, England's Brixton Academy. They are also said to be playing the Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend but so far nothing has been confirmed.

The band made its live debut on August 9 at the Metro club in Chicago, shortly after Lollapalooza closed its third and final day at nearby Grant Park.

THEM CROOKED VULTURES, which has been in the works for four years, will release an album and hit the road sometime later this year, but official details have yet to be announced. So far all the band has done is put up a web site as well as Twitter, Facebook, MySpace and YouTube pages.
