THIN LIZZY Tribute Night Planned In August

July 19, 2007

According to Kilkenny Advertiser, a night in honor of one of Ireland's best loved rock stars, Phil Lynott, is being organised by Hype Entertainment in Kilkenny. The night will be held on August 19 in Paris Texas, High Street, the weekend of the second anniversary of the unveiling of the Phil Lynott statue off Grafton Street in Dublin.

The event will feature a number of THIN LIZZY tribute bands with top THIN LIZZY tribute act THE THIN LIZZY EXPERIENCE headlining the show. The band will be travelling from Sheffield in the U.K. to headline a memorial event in Dublin’s Radio City on August 18 and have agreed to include Kilkenny on their schedule.

THE THIN LIZZY EXPERIENCE formed through the desire of four hardened fans to bring a realistic youthful representation to the music of THIN LIZZY.

There are also negotiations with two other LIZZY tribute acts from the U.K. and Los Angeles to join THE EXPERIENCE on the bill.
