THIN LIZZY Will Not Play Any U.S. Dates With DEEP PURPLE
July 24, 2007Contrary to previously published reports, THIN LIZZY will not be perform on any dates on the upcoming DEEP PURPLE U.S. tour. "[THIN LIZZY] apologizes for any inconvenience this causes," the group writes in a statement. "The band is making plans to tour the U.S. and hopes to have an announcement with details soon."
THIN LIZZY and QUEENSRŸCHE will team up for a U.K. tour this fall.
THIN LIZZY's current lineup includes vocalist/guitarist John Sykes, guitarist Scott Gorham, bassist Marco Mendoza and drummer Tommy Aldridge. The band in 2006 commemorated the 20th year since THIN LIZZY mainman Phil Lynott's passing by dedicating and performing 20 dates in remembrance of their late frontman. Dubbed the "20/20 Tour", the trek saw the band hammering out all of the greatest hits and a few rarities.
