THIS IS HELL To Headline UK's 'Kerrang! Most Wanted Tour'

February 18, 2008

Long Island's THIS IS HELL have announced a UK headline tour in support of new album "Misfortunes", released Monday, February 25. Support will come from UK noiseniks DEAD SWANS.

Commented guitarist Rick Jimenez: "We're always siked to get to the UK, but especially now with the new album. We're dying to play these new joints live. We're headlining this time around so we get to play smaller more intimate venues which I greatly prefer, as well as take out DEAD SWANS, a band we're real stoked on!"

The follow-up to "Sundowning", "Misfortunes" was recorded at Killingsworth Studio in Long Island, NY with Tomas Costanza (DIFFUSER, BEDLIGHT FOR BLUE EYES) and Full Force Studios in Port Jefferson with the acclaimed producer Joe Cincotta (OBITUARY, SUFFOCATION, ANIMOSITY).

Comments Rick: "The new album is furious as ever. We put a lot of time and effort into the writing and went real deep to tell the story we needed to tell and express what we needed to express this time around. The album is a journey through life dealing with your actions, your demons, your regrets, your struggle to stay afloat and whether it's worth it to even hold on or to just give up. There is a lot of self-questioning and realization this time around. We went real deep and got real personal on this one but I believe its something that a lot of people will be able to relate to. People need to know that it is OK to feel miserable and frustrated sometimes and know there are other people out there that don't always have the answers either."
