THORIUM Performs With New Lineup For First Time

September 24, 2008

Having performed in front of a packed house at the Belsepub Club in Gothenburg, Sweden on August 29, Danish metal band THORIUM is now ready to play more shows with the new lineup featuring Johan Axelsson (ex-DERANGED) on guitar replacing longtime member Allan Tvedebrink.

Commented vocalist Michael H. Anderson: "It was so great playing live again in Gothenburg. The new lineup makes THORIUM feel like a band loaded with vitamins and energy. The band feeling is definitely there again and now we just can't wait to show what THORIUM is like live. Also, the process of writing new material is coming nearer and it'll be great fun to see what Johan will come up with. I'm not sure we will allow too many DERANGED influences in the musical world of THORIUM. That would be way too complex and extreme for THORIUM, haha."

Upcoming THORIUM shows:

Nov. 26 - Headbanger’s Ballroom - Hamburg, GER
Nov. 28 - Cassiopeia - Berlin, GER (w/ SPAWN, REQUITAL)
Dec. 06 - The Rock, Copenhagen, DEN (w/ EXMORTEM, CORPUS MORTALE)

The new lineup of THORIUM is:

Michael H. Anderson - Vokills
KB Larsen - Bomber
Marcel Leth - Axe
Johan Axelsson - Axe
Nikolaj Borg - Battery

"Epidemic Skeleton", the new video from THORUM, can be viewed below. According to a press release, fans should be "prepared for something which is not your average metal band with bad-motherfucker attitude in an arty photo studio and no storyline."

"Epidemic Skeleton" comes off the group's "comeback" album, "Feral Creation", which came out on February 18 via Mighty Music. The CD was recorded at the Berno Studio (THE HAUNTED, VOMITORY, DERANGED) in Sweden and was mixed with Jacob Hansen (ABORTED, MERCENARY, VOLBEAT) at Hansen Studios. The cover artwork for the album was created by legendary artist Dan Seagrave (MALEVOLENT CREATION, ENTOMBED, SUFFOCATION). Check out an e-card for the CD at this location.
