April 9, 2006

Canadian metallers THREAT SIGNAL will release their debut album, "Under Reprisal", in Europe on May 26 via Nuclear Blast Records. An August 22 North American release is expected.

THREAT SIGNAL recorded "Under Reprisal" this past fall with producer Christian Olde Wolbers of FEAR FACTORY.

"Under Reprisal" track listing (in no particular order):

01. One Last Breath
02. Seeing Red
03. Rational Eyes
04. As I Destruct
05. Counterbalance
06. A New Beginning
07. Faceless
08. Inane
09. Haunting
10. Now
11. When All Is Said And Done

THREAT SIGNAL, who recently announced the addition of drummer George Parfitt from Pennsylvania to the group's ranks, have been confirmed for this year's Earthshaker Fest, set to take place July 21-22 in Kreuth, Germany. Also scheduled to appear are VENOM, TESTAMENT, SAXON, SATYRICON, NEVERMORE, HAMMERFALL and ARCH ENEMY, among others.

THREAT SIGNAL's music can be described as "low-end, syncopated thrash, with melody intertwined," according to a press release. "The band was fed up with groups playing whiny emotional songs about girls, and also with the simplicity of nu-metal. THREAT SIGNAL combines the complexity of old school and European thrash music with de-tuned, technical syncopation, as well as melodic singing and musical passages. The band's influences include SOILWORK, FEAR FACTORY, PANTERA, MESHUGGAH, and MUDVAYNE."
