THRESHOLD Fans Get Creative

November 13, 2006

Fans waiting for the new THRESHOLD album "Pilot in the Sky of Dreams" have been getting creative at forum.thresh.net. Following the announcement that the album's artwork is being designed by Thomas Ewerhard (KING'S X, VANDEN PLAS, ASIA),impetuous THRESHOLD fans have been designing their own highly amusing fictitious covers and posting them on the forum.

Meanwhile, THRESHOLD guitarist Karl Groom spoke to Virtuosa magazine about the band's last tour, their move to Nuclear Blast Records and recording the new album. "Our aim is to make our most complete album to date," he said. "That was made a lot harder by the success of 'Subsurface', but raising the bar is exactly what a band like THRESHOLD needs to motivate us. Rich and I will look forward to mixing this one and hopefully topping the last record." You can read the whole interview in issue 16 of Virtuosa, out today.

THRESHOLD's last album, "Subsurface", picked up 15 "Album of the Month" awards across the globe. Earlier this year the band moved to Nuclear Blast Records to join a highly successful roster of bands including IN FLAMES, NIGHTWISH and BLIND GUARDIAN.

Recording and mixing of "Pilot in the Sky of Dreams" is expected to be completed this month, with a release planned for March 2007.
