THRESHOLD: Original Singer To Perform With Band At Norway's SUBTACTO Festival
July 23, 2007U.K. progressive metallers THRESHOLD have confirmed that their original singer Damian Wilson will perform with them at their next show, the Subtacto Festival in Norway on August 4, following last week's unexpected departure of Andrew "Mac" McDermott.
Damian Wilson fronted the band for the first time in ten years for their performances at the Metalcamp and Earthshaker festivals over the weekend. Talks are also underway to see if he can perform at all of THRESHOLD's remaining 2007 shows.
Damian Wilson is currently lead singer for the band HEADSPACE who recently supported OZZY OSBOURNE for U.K. shows, including Wembley Arena.
Andrew "Mac" McDermott has now officially confirmed his departure from the band. In a statement he told fans that he knew the timing was bad but thanked them for all their support. He also wished the group all the best and expressed his gratitude to the band's original singer Damian Wilson for standing in for him.
THRESHOLD's new album, "Dead Reckoning", has received eight "Album of the Month" awards across Europe, Canada and South America. The CD was released in the U.S. on April 24.
