December 19, 2006

THRESHOLD drummer Johanne James has been named drummer of the year by the Classic Rock Society. The award was presented to him by the legendary Carl Palmer and CRS president Martin Hudson at their annual awards ceremony.

THRESHOLD recently confirmed that its new CD artwork will be created by Thomas Ewerhard, whose credits include KING'S X, VANDEN PLAS and ASIA. Thomas Ewerhard has been responsible for THRESHOLD's artwork since 1998, including the iconic "Hypothetical" and "Subsurface" covers.

THRESHOLD has completed work on the follow-up to their 2004 album "Subsurface". Recording took place at Thin Ice Studios and Bray Studios in the south of England, produced by Karl Groom and Richard West. A March 23, 2007 European release via Nuclear Blast Records is expected.

The new album has a working title of "Pilot in the Sky of Dreams", and the songtitles are (in no particular order):

01. Slipstream
02. This Is Your Life
03. Elusive
04. Disappear
05. Fighting For Breath
06. Hollow
07. Safe To Fly
08. One Degree Down
09. Landing Lights

THRESHOLD's last album, "Subsurface", picked up 15 "Album Of The Month" awards across the globe. Earlier this year the band moved to Nuclear Blast Records to join a highly successful roster of bands including IN FLAMES, NIGHTWISH and BLIND GUARDIAN.
