March 24, 2010Todd Cardini of HeavyMetalSource.com conducted an interview with South Carolina's THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD on March 4, 2010 at The Webster Theater in Hartford, Connecticut during the band's tour with OTEP, BURY YOUR DEAD and DESTROPHY. The six-minute chat can now be viewed below.
"Skepsis", the new album from THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD, sold around 1,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at No. 16 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Skepsis" is the first THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD album to feature new vocalist Danny Rodriguez, drummer Mike Ranne and guitarist Chris "Hank" Henckel.
Commented guitarist Justin Longshore: "Our new record, 'Skepsis', finally captures the sound we've always envisioned. We really wanted to raise the bar with this one but also keep the consistency that THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD is known for. Overall, everyone has become better at their instruments and it really shows on the record. I have no doubt in my mind that new and old fans of the band will be pleased when they hear it!"
