THURISAZ: Demo Version Of New Song Posted Online

January 1, 2010

Belgium-based metallers THURISAZ will enter CCR Studio in Zulte, Belgium in the spring with producer Kris Belean to begin recording their third album for a late 2010 release.

A pre-production/demo version of a new song, "Precious Scars", is available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

THURISAZ parted ways with bassist Lars Vereecke last year and replaced him with Hannes Leroy. "With Hannes joining, THURISAZ finally found back the energy and inspiration it was looking for since quite some time," the band states. "And that paid off!!! Since a year we've started to write new material, with ups and downs, but we're nearing the final stage."

THURISAZ had its 2004 debut album, "Scent of a Dream", reissued in April 2008 through Shiver Records. The album was remastered and contains an acoustic live version of "Years of Silence" as the bonus track.

THURISAZ' second full-length album, "Circadian Rhythm", was released in 2007 via Shiver.
