THUS DEFILED Announces Lineup Changes, Prepares To Record Split CD

April 17, 2007

U.K. black metallers THUS DEFILED have issued the following update:

"Recent times have been very busy for THUS DEFILED. Our launch party at the Camden Underworld was an absolute blast with an amazing turnout so thanks to all of you that made it along to raise the horns for us and all the other great bands that played with on the day.

"'Daemonspawn' [the new THUS DEFILED album] has finally seen the light of and should be in a store near you, or via download from iTunes, HMV Digital, Virgin Digital (and many more download sites) — or directly from www.shadowflame.co.uk

"We are returning to the USA for the month of May to record our next release — a very special split album with the U.K.'s masters of eclectic darkness: THE MEADS OF ASPHODEL.

"We will be based once again in Texas at the superb Noise Farm studio with uber-producer Tim Bartlett returning to the helm. We will also be heading out to appear at the world famous Milwaukee Metalfest on 12th May alongside DEICIDE, MACABRE, ENGORGE, ACHERON and many more. We also play once again with the legendary ACHERON on 13th May in St. Paul, Minneapolis on the Day of Inhuman Suffering festival.

"We also have two new members to welcome to the fold: Chas on bass and Stu on drums, who will both make their debut THUS DEFILED recording out in Texas. We look forward to their contributions to the band, and we also wish past members Nick [drums] and Rob [bass] all the very best for their future, Rob with his young family and Nick with his new projects and thank them both for the massive contributions they made to the band over the great years we shared."

The follow-up to 2003's "Weeping Holocaust Tears", THUS DEFILED's "Daemonspawn" album (Shadowflame Productions) was recorded in Texas during 2006 and was mastered by guitarist-turned-producer James Murphy (ex-TESTAMENT, DEATH, OBITUARY).
