December 7, 2006

TIAMAT has been confirmed for the 12th edition of Belgium's largest metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, set to take place June 22-24, 2007 in Dessel. TIAMAT will perform on Saturday, June 23. "Last time we pierced our nipples, got naked and pissed drunk," said TIAMAT mainman Johan Edlund. "Should be fun." Also scheduled to appear is THERION. More acts will be confirmed soon.

As previously reported, TIAMAT will perform at the Close-Up Båten festival/day-long cruise, which is scheduled to take off from Stockholm, Sweden on February 15, 2007. Other groups that are slated to play include DARK TRANQUILLITY, PAIN, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR, NECROPHOBIC and DIMENSION ZERO.

TIAMAT's "The Church of Tiamat" DVD entered the Swedish Music DVD chart at position No. 5 back in early May. An e-card for the DVD is available at this location. The e-card contains several features, such as a streamable sample video of the DVD, the band's most recent tour dates, photos as well as detailed information on TIAMAT itself and the band's first official DVD release. The video teaser gives you the opportunity to check out the following songs: "Vote For Love", "Children Of The Underworld" and "Gaia".

TIAMAT, whose last studio album, "Prey", was released in 2003 through Century Media, is currently unsigned.
