TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS Hit By Flying Cup Of Beer In Norway; Video Available
September 13, 2010Powerhouse vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, BEYOND FEAR, ex-JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH) was hit by what appears to have been a plastic cup filled with beer during his September 10, 2010 headlining performance at Byscenen in Haugesund, Norway.
Owens had just started playing his cover version of the BLACK SABBATH classic "Children Of The Sea" as a tribute to Ronnie James Dio when the projectile apparently landed on his left arm, causing Owens to stop the show and request that the perpetrator be ejected from the venue.
Owens said: "Stop! Who fucking threw it? WHO THREW IT?!? Who fucking threw it? Get him outta here. Find the person who threw it. We’re not starting until you throw the fucking person out of here. Find him and take him outta here. [As the guy's being ejected] Nice move you, fucking ass. Jesus. Moron, right? Shall we start again?”
