TIM 'RIPPER' OWENS Says Playing With HAIL! 'Has Been A Blast'

HAIL! — the new all-star project featuring guitarist Andreas Kisser (SEPULTURA),vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, BEYOND FEAR, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ICED EARTH),drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ALICE COOPER, MEGADETH) and bassist David Ellefson (F5, MEGADETH) — will play the first of five shows in Chile tonight (Thursday, January 22) at Rock & Guitarras in Santiago.

Owens has released the following update to BLABBERMOUTH.NET: "First show sold out, so we rehearsed all day and announced a special party for fans. We would play a few songs. [It] went amazing; the guys just killed… doing some classic metal tunes.

"It has been a blast. The guys are just rockin hard and no egos. I FUCKING LOVE IT!!

"I want to say the fans are great. Thank you! Keep comin' out and havin' fun.

"Miss our families. I miss my wife and kids. But we are rockin' and havin' fun. This makes me remember when it was fun.

"To Dave, Jimmy and Andreas: Thanks for having me!"

HAIL!'s setlist will honor the bandmembers' own genres of metal as well as the classic music that inspired their careers.

HAIL! is expected to perform tracks from MEGADETH, SEPULTURA and JUDAS PRIEST along with classics from AC/DC, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, METALLICA, VENOM and IRON MAIDEN.

The dates are as follows:

Jan. 22 - Santiago, Chile - Rock & Guitarras
Jan. 23 - Valparaiso, Chile - El Huevo
Jan. 24 - Concepcion, Chile - Havana Club
Jan. 25 - Puerto Montt, Chile - Arena Puerto Montt
Jan. 27 - Antofagasta, Chile - Rock & Soccer
