TIMO KOTIPELTO To Play Acoustic Shows With CAIN'S OFFERING Bandmate JANI LIIMATAINEN

November 26, 2009

Finnish heavy metal singer Timo Kotipelto (STRATOVARIUS, CAIN'S OFFERING, KOTIPELTO) has issued the following update:

"While we are on a break with STRATOVARIUS, before our European tour in January, I will do some acoustic duo gigs with Jani Liimatainen [CAIN'S OFFERING, ex-SONATA ARCTICA]. I played one gig with him last spring and we had such a good time that I deciced to do a couple more.

"We will play some songs from KOTIPELTO and STRATOVARIUS, but also a lot of heavy metal covers from different bands. Some songs have more interesting arrangements, some might even call them a bit 'artistic' while most are more on the line of the original song.

"Come and enjoy the evening of acoustic metal!"

CAIN'S OFFERING, the band featuring Kotipelto and Liimatainen, released its debut album, "Gather The Faithful", on August 28 in Europe and September 11 in North America via Frontiers Records.

The band is the new artistic creation of Jani Liimatainen, the guitarist/songwriter who was previously in SONATA ARCTICA and ALTARIA. In 2007, Jani parted ways with SONATA ARCTICA, a band he co-founded in 1996 and to which he devoted his time and energy for more than 10 years. Following his departure from one of Finland's biggest music exports in recent years, all eyes were set upon his newest creation: CAIN'S OFFERING.

Drawing its musical influence from both the classic hard rock scene, the fast-paced European power metal and a very modern heavy metal sound, CAIN'S OFFERING is, just as expected, a perfect example of today's living and breathing Finnish music scene.
