TIWANAKU Song To Be Featured On CASTAWAY RECORDS Compilation

April 21, 2010

"Today in Battle", a song from TIWANAKU — the central Florida-based metal band featuring Ed Mowery (ex-NOCTURNUS) on guitar/vocals, Michael Estes (BURNING INSIDE, ACHERON) on guitar, and Royse Bassham on drums — will be featured on a Castaway Records (Finland) compilation. Due in late May/early June, the CD will be sent out to all the major magazines and webzines in Europe as well as passed out at all the major metal festivals this summer.

"Today in Battle", which includes a special guest appearance by bassist Alex Webster (CANNIBAL CORPSE, BLOTTED SCIENCE),is available for streaming at CDbaby.

Commented Mowery, "Alex is one of the most professional and humble musicians we have had the pleasure to work with. When we called him to ask if he would like to record a song with us, there was no hesitation with him at all. Alex did a very proficient and awesome job!! We gave him full rein to pick whatever song of ours he wanted to do, let him do his thing with it, and the finished tracks came out phenomenal! We couldn't be happier with the results!"

Inspired by the Mayan culture and the Mayan prophecy, "Today in Battle" is a pre-production/demo track the bandmembers recorded on their own and then mixed at Zen Studios in Pinellas Park, Florida.

TIWANAKU is:

Ed Mowery (ex-NOCTURNUS) - Vocals/Guitar
Michael Estes (ex-BURNING INSIDE) - Guitar
Claudia Hughes - Bass
Scott Beguin (DEMON SEMEN) - Drums

TIWANAKU is currently recording material for its full-length debut.
