TNT Singer's Father Wins GENESIS Award For Article On Dolphin Slaughters
February 11, 2006According to a posting on TNT frontman Tony Harnell's official web site, Tony's father, Boyd Harnell, has won a Genesis Award for his recent article on the dolphin slaughters happening in Japan. "They will fly him to Hollywood in March for this event," Tony writes. "It will be attended by very high-profile celebrities and VIPs who care about animal issues. I am really proud of him for using his ability as an artist (photographer and journalist) to raise awareness of issues like this."
The annual Genesis Awards event in Hollywood pays tribute to the major news and entertainment media for producing outstanding works which raise public understanding of animal issues.
Boyd Harnell was also recently contacted by Time magazine to do a story on the same subject.
