TOM MORELLO Interviewed By Filmmaker MICHAEL MOORE; Video Available
April 24, 2007MTV.com reports that RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE/ex-AUDIOSLAVE guitarist Tom Morello is the star of a new video feature on MySpace in which he is interviewed by documentary filmmaker Michael Moore. Morello talks about the origins of THE NIGHTWATCHMAN character, which he honed on off-nights from an AUDIOSLAVE arena tour by playing open mics. The video is available at this location.
Morello and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE singer Zack De La Rocha performed in public together for the first time in nearly seven years in Chicago on April 14 as part of a rally-turned-celebration for the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Their performance offered a preview of the full band's upcoming Coachella Festival appearance on April 29. Morello and de la Rocha played "People Of The Sun", "Bulls On Parade" and "Down Rodeo". Morello also performed several tunes as THE NIGHTWATCHMAN, while de la Rocha sang a song he wrote for the event.
The Coalition of Immokalee Workers is an organization of immigrant farm workers who pick vegetables for big businesses like McDonald's.
Morello released "One Man Revolution", his debut solo album under THE NIGHTWATCHMAN name, today (April 24).
RAGE has three more shows lined up this summer as part of the Rock The Bells hip-hop tour.
