March 25, 2003

TOMMY LEE bassist Marty O'Brien was hired for one show to play bass for a new solo artist named Brooks Buford, according to a posting on Marty's official web site. "We got into [New York City] on Sunday and rehearsed for a couple days," O'Brien wrote. "[Monday] afternoon [March 24] we played a private showcase for everyone at Arista Records. They are very interested in signing Brooks and everyone at the label seemed to really like the show. Flying back to L.A. tomorrow [Tuesday, March 25]."
