TORCHBEARER Signs With VIC RECORDS

April 25, 2009

Swedish death/black metal band TORCHBEARER has inked a deal with Vic Records. The group says, "We are all very excited and really looking forward to start cooperating, to say the least.

"At the moment we are in the midst of pre-producing 'Dying Codex', our third album-to-be, and we will then spend June, July and August recording the album for real, on various occasions and locations. When everything is recorded and done, it will be mixed and mastered by Tomas 'Plec' Johansson, who is now also a member of TORCHBEARER, at his Panic Room studios, for a possible late November release through Vic Records.

"As for the current lineup, we have gone through some changes since last time round, with the addition of two new live wires to the TORCHBEARER family. We'd like to welcome Rolf Pilve on drums and Tomas 'Plec' Johansson on bass, now completing the lineup."

TORCHBEARER is:

Pär Johansson - Lead Vocals
Christian Älvestam - Rhythm Guitar And Backing Vocals
Patrik Gardberg - Lead Guitar
Tomas "Plec" Johansson - Bass
Rolf Pilve - Drums

TORCHBEARER released its sophomore album, "Warnaments", in April 2006 via Regain Records.
