Tour Rumor: MEGADETH, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CHILDREN OF BODOM And HAVOK

November 10, 2015

MEGADETH is rumored to be teaming up with SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, CHILDREN OF BODOM and HAVOK for a U.S. tour in early 2016. The four-band package, which will tentatively launch in February, will mark MEGADETH's first U.S. run of dates in support of its new album, "Dystopia", slated for release in January.

Denver, Colorado thrashers HAVOK, who last year signed with Century Media, are managed by Justis Mustaine, the 23-year-old son of MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine.

While chatting with fans on Saturday (November 7) via Periscope, a live video streaming platform owned by Twitter, Dave Mustaine stated about MEGADETH's touring plans: "[I am] really excited about coming back to the States and doing our North American tour there. The dates are coming along pretty well. And we've got three bands we're gonna be taking out with us there. Not completely sure about confirming all of them, but if they do confirm, the guys that I'm thinking about — no, it's not LAMB OF GOD for North America — if those guys are on it, I think it's gonna be a cool, cool lineup."

Rumors of a LAMB OF GOD and MEGADETH joint North American tour were sparked by a recent interview with LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler, who played on "Dystopia" and is currently sitting behind the kit for MEGADETH on their U.K. run.

Due to his LAMB OF GOD schedule, Adler was unable to play with MEGADETH in China and Japan last month and was temporarily replaced by Tony Laureano (ex-DIMMU BORGIR, NILE, ANGELCORPSE),a veteran extreme-metal skinsman who has worked as MEGADETH's drum tech since 2011.

Adler made his live debut with MEGADETH in July at the Festival D'été De Québec (also known as by its acronym FEQ, or Quebec City Summer Festival in English),in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

The follow-up to 2013's "Super Collider", "Dystopia" was recorded earlier in the year in Nashville, Tennessee and was mixed by Josh Wilbur, who has previously worked with LAMB OF GOD, ALL THAT REMAINS and GOJIRA.
