TRIUMPH Cancels Leg Two Of 2026 'Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded' U.S. Tour 'Due To Sudden And Unexpected Medical Circumstances'

October 30, 2026

Canadian rock legends TRIUMPH have canceled the previously announced leg two of the "Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded" tour "due to sudden and unexpected medical circumstances affecting the band."

The second leg of the tour was scheduled to take TRIUMPH through major markets across the Midwest, Northeast, Southwest, and West Coast in November and December. The trek was supposed to feature the same lineup that toured earlier in the year: guitarist/vocalist Rik Emmett and drummer/vocalist Gil Moore, alongside guitarist Phil X, drummer and keyboardist Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kerns. Phil X, whose real name is Theofilos Xenidis, is a member of BON JOVI and a former member of TRIUMPH, while Fitz and Kerns are both members of SLASH FEATURING MYLES KENNEDY & THE CONSPIRATORS. Original TRIUMPH bassist Mike Levine did not take part in any of the 2026 tour dates after revealing in December 2025 that he has "a problem" with his hand that "precludes" him "from being able to really play well."

Earlier today (Friday, October 30),TRIUMPH released the following statement via social media: "It is with deep disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the remaining 2026 'Reloaded' tour dates due to sudden and unexpected medical circumstances affecting the band. With the second leg of the tour set to begin in just under three weeks, these circumstances prevent us from being able to rehearse and move forward with the current shows as planned.

"We recognize that this announcement comes on short notice, and sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this will cause.

"To our fans: thank you for your patience, understanding, and unwavering support. We've always known that TRIUMPH has the best fans in the world, and are continually humbled by the love you show us. Your support means more than we can put into lyrics, especially during a difficult time like this. Thankfully, the outlook is positive and we will be back on stage with you as soon as possible.

"All tickets purchased for the affected dates will be refunded automatically through the original point of purchase. Ticketholders do not need to take any action to initiate their refunds. Fans with questions regarding their orders should contact the ticket provider from which they purchased their tickets."

In a recent interview with with Rob Edwards of Talkin' Bout Rock, Emmett reflected on the first leg of the "Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded" tour and looked ahead to the trek's second leg. Rik said at the time: "Now, when I went on the first leg of the tour, I felt pretty great about it, but I gotta tell you, to be 100% honest, after it was over, and then, man, it was a crazy summer. My wife and I were having our 50th anniversary, and my hair started falling out, and I had alopecia areata, and I lost all my hair. So it was, like, that's not so great. So, I'm sort of dealing with that and coping with that. And I'm not exactly sure how that one's gonna play out before the tour. You may see me as a guy wearing a lot of hats. But however it plays out, I feel good. My health is good. I'm strong, and I feel like I can play and sing — not every night."

Emmett continued: "On the first leg, we did a thing where we played four shows in four nights, and after the fourth night — we did two of them in Boston, and the fourth night was Boston, and I said to everybody, management, road manager, anybody within earshot, 'I'm never doing this again. I'm never gonna play four in four nights.' And they went, 'Oh, okay. Yeah, we hear you.' And so this next leg, it's gonna be much more reasonable. Like, two nights, one off. One on, one off. Or two on, four off. One on... It's gonna be very spread out, and it'll make it a lot easier for me to survive physically and for my throat to make it."

Formed in Mississauga in 1975, TRIUMPH — Rik Emmett (guitar, vocals),Mike Levine (bass, keyboards) and Gil Moore (drums, vocals) — rose from playing high school auditoriums and rock n' roll bars to selling out iconic arenas, from Toronto's famed Maple Leaf Gardens to Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas .
