TRIVIUM Cook-Off: MATT Vs. PAOLO

Baltimore, Maryland's 98Rock radio station invited TRIVIUM guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy and bassist Paolo Gregoletto to face off against each other in a friendly "Iron Chef"-inspired cook-off making Maryland's signature dish: crab cakes. Filmed on location at Razorbacks in Towson in October 2009, the clip below features Matt and Paolo taking on the crab cake using different recipes and with the aid of some liquid courage. TRIVIUM is hard at work on its fourth studio album for an early 2011 release via Roadrunner Records. To showcase the band's progress on the follow-up to 2008's "Shogun", the guys recently posted some photos from inside the studio on their official web site.

Inspired by the God Of War series, TRIVIUM's new song, "Shattering the Skies Above", appears on the extended play (EP) soundtrack for the highly anticipated PlayStation3 (PS3) exclusive videogame "God of War III". The EP, titled "God of War: Blood & Metal", was made available on March 2 via Roadrunner as part of the "God of War III Ultimate Edition", and features five exclusive unreleased songs from Roadrunner artists, including KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, DREAM THEATER, OPETH and TAKING DAWN.
