TRIVIUM Drummer Checks In From Japan
October 19, 2007TRIVIUM drummer Travis Smith has issued the following update:
"I am sitting in a hotel in Tokyo, Japan and its 5 AM.
"We flew into Tokyo yesterday afternoon at about 3 PM, and dude let me tell ya, it was such a looooong flight. Boy, are my arms tired! Hahaha! I think we were in a airplane for about 15-16 hours straight!! I was sitting in my seat not being able to sleep — because for some reason I can't sleep on planes — when I decided to look on the map to see how much further we had to go before we got there and it said we had six hours left — I thought I was going to lose my mind.
"I was so stoked to get off that fuckin' plane and get into Tokyo to get my legs stretched and find some grub — so right when we got to the hotel all of us guys went out and ate some badass Japaneese food and had a few beers... fuck, a nice cold beer always makes me feel a shitload better!!
"Anyways, here we are in Japan once again and awake at a retarded time with a stomach that needs some food and a liver that is begging me for a frosty beer."
TRIVIUM is preparing for the Black Crusade shows in Australia with stops through Japan for Loudpark 07 and a few shows with HEAVEN AND HELL, as well their own headline show in Osaka.
In a recent interview with Australia's The Metal Forge, TRIVIUM frontman Matt Heafy stated about the group current recording plans, "We're gonna start [writing the next album] real soon. We've got a shitload of songs written already, and we're gonna demo them in September and record them in January through June or July or some shit. I guess half of next year or something. We'll get it out probably third quarter, if not fourth quarter of next year."
