TRIVIUM: Entire MATT HEAFY Interview From Council Bluffs Posted Online
March 17, 2009Bryan Odell, a correspondent for "The Omaha Buzz", a weekly entertainment show on WOWT in Omaha, has uploaded the entire interview he conducted with guitarist/vocalist Matt Heafy of Florida metallers TRIVIUM before the band's January 25, 2009 concert at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa with SLIPKNOT and COHEED AND CAMBRIA (only a portion of the chat was previously released). The 10-minute clip, which includes footage from the concert, can be viewed below.
TRIVIUM will embark on a headlining tour of Australia in May. They will be joined by HEAVEN SHALL BURN and BLACK TIDE. Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, March 19 at 9:00 a.m. Ticketek will be selling tickets for all shows except for Perth, tickets for which will be purchasable through MoshTix.
TRIVIUM's latest album, "Shogun", has sold around 70,000 copies in the United States since its late September release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD follows up "The Crusade", which opened with 31,000 copies in October 2006 to land at No. 25.
"Shogun" was released in North America on September 30, 2008 via Roadrunner Records. The CD was mixed in London by Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, FEAR FACTORY, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, NAPALM DEATH),with Jeff Rose and Martin "Ginge" Ford assisting on engineering duties.
