TRIVIUM Frontman Checks In From The Road

October 9, 2006

Florida's TRIVIUM kicked off a headlining tour late last month in support of its new album, "The Crusade", due on October 10 via Roadrunner Records. Frontman Matt Heafy has checked in from Worcester, Mass. with the following update:

"This tour has been beyond incredible. We had no idea what to expect, being our first ever North American headlining tour and all...but the tour is blowing our minds! Trivium fans are at full capacity and force, truly rocking the shit outta each and every city. This tour is treating us well and were having a damn good time. We hope everyone wanting to come out can and those who came to the shows... We hope your voices and necks still hurt!

"Our new album, 'The Crusade', drops next Tuesday the 10th here in the States so pick up a copy for good luck when you get a chance."

As previously reported, rumor has it that TRIVIUM will play a "secret show" at an intimate small club in New York City Wednesday night, October 11. The band will perform a "very special" set played — one that "every metal fan will definitely appreciate." Apparently, one way to get in is if you have a Nokia Theatre ticket stub from the band's show on October 10. This should get you in for free, but keep in mind that entry will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

The follow-up to 2005's "Ascendancy", "The Crusade" was recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, FL, just outside of Orlando. Once again produced by TRIVIUM and Jason Suecof, the CD is "a dazzling explosion of tight, intricate and instantly memorable songs that feature awe-inspiring musicianship from all four members of the band," according to a press release. An e-card for "The Crusade" can be accessed at this location.

TRIVIUM's video for the song "Anthem (We Are The Fire)" has been posted online at this location. The clip was shot on August 11 in Agoura Hills, California and features the band and its loyal fans crashing and taking over "a lame house party...bringing their huge metal show (complete with pyro, flaming swimming pool, and fire cannons) and showing the world how they ROCK."

TRIVIUM has just released a U.K.-only single featuring the song "Anthem (We Are The Fire)" backed by two exclusive non-album cuts: "Broken One" and "Vengeance". Also featured on the single is the video clip for "Anthem (We Are The Fire)".
