TROUBLE Drummer Releases Two Non-'Doom' CDs

TROUBLE drummer Jeff "Oly" Olson has released two new CDs, but it is not his traditional doom. "Music to Cook By" and "Children's Stories from Around the World" are two of Olson's side projects in addition to his solo rock/psychedelic project, RETRO GRAVE.

"Music to Cook By" is a 15-song collection of worldwide music sensations all written and composed by Olson for relaxing, to cook by, dining, or (as Olson explains),"just sipping the grape." "Children's Stories from Around the World" is a collection of 18 children's stories from around the world including poems, adventure stories, fairytales, legends and more all narrated by storyteller and singer Marie Franz, with all music composed and recorded by Olson. This CD is suitable for ages 5+ and presents lively retellings, animating people and animals so that the characters come to life with gusto and panache. Sound effects are interspersed meaningfully, along with a variety of musical instruments. Olson says, "It's a great collection of music for children and adults for entertainment, a family trip or, for some, just a good trip."

One track off the CD ("The Owl and The Pussy Cat") can be heard at Olson's MySpace page. Both CDs are available at this location along with Olson's newly released EP, "Retro Grave" (released June 5, 2007).

TROUBLE is now taking a short break from its European 2007 "Simple Mind Condition Tour" and is anticipating another tour this fall, to be announced soon.
