TWISTED SISTER: Philadelphia Concert To Raise Money For Band's Soundman

April 29, 2005

According to The Inquirer, TWISTED SISTER's Dee Snider says he pushed for Philadelphia as the site for a concert to raise money for the band's soundman and friend, Charlie Barrecca, who needs a liver transplant. The July 15 show is at the Electric Factory (7th & Willow). Tickets are $30 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday through Ticketmaster.

Snider now hosts an evening show on 93.3 WMMR. The band last rocked Philadelphia 20 years ago in a sold-out gig at the Spectrum.

Snider says don't expect the band to reinvent itself. "We know it's an oldies show, man, and we're looking forward to it," he says.

The band's got upcoming gigs in Germany and South America.

In first grade, for Halloween, we tried to dress up as Snider, as he appears on the cover of "Stay Hungry", but the costume was far too elaborate, as pink leather is, or at least was, difficult to find.
