TYGERS OF PAN TANG: 'Animal Instinct' Release Date Announced

February 15, 2008

NWOBHM legends TYGERS OF PAN TANG have issued the following update:

"February has been a very busy month for the band. The recording of the new album, 'Animal Instinct', is now complete and is in the very capable hands of Ben Matthews, who is mixing the final versions. Confirmation of the track listings will be released very shortly so watch this space. We are working with Cargo Records on releasing the album in five phases. This sounds complicated but we want to make sure the promotion and advertising are carried out to the maximum.

Phase one – pre-orders dispatched
Phase two - Italy release date of 9th April to coincide with tour
Phase three - UK and Europe release date of 21st April
Phase four - Japan and USA - April 28th
Phase five - Rest of world - to be confirmed

"We are working with the distributors to actively promote the album with signing sessions and touring if possible and are seeking interested parties/ promoters to fullfill this requirement.

The UK tour is now underway and started with a fantastic night at Crook. Get along to a show you will not be dissapointed, it is a great night of hard rock."

TYGERS OF PAN TANG' "Back & Beyond" EP features two brand new songs — "Live For Today" and "Bury The Hatchet" — as well as three reworked classics ("Hellbound", "Take It" and "Rock And Roll Man"). The EP was mixed by Ben Matthews of THUNDER and released through THUNDER's record label.

TYGERS OF PAN TANG's new album, "Animal Instinct", sees the band "go back to their early roots, playing hard-edged rock in the manner of 'Wildcat' and 'Spellbound'," according to a press release.

TYGERS OF PAN TANG's current lineup is:

Robb Weir - Guitar
Dean Robertson - Guitar
Jacopo Meille - Vocals
Brian West - Bass
Craig Ellis - Drums
