TYPE O NEGATIVE Drummer's LED ZEPPELIN Tribute Band Playing Tonight

May 11, 2007

TYPE O NEGATIVE drummer Johnny Kelly has issued the following update:

"My LED ZEPPELIN tribute band EARLS COURT is playing [tonight, Friday, May 11] in Freeport, L.I. We're playing with SABBATH tribute band WICKED WORLD whom we've played with quite a few times over the years. The show is scheduled to start with our only set for the night at 10pm. Odin's Tavern is located at 365 S. Bayview Ave. Freeport, NY 11520. You can go to www.myspace.com/earlscourt for more info. Being that TYPE O is heading to Europe in a couple of weeks, this will probably be the only show we do for quite a while. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. It should be a fun night."

TYPE O NEGATIVE's brand new video for "Profit of Doom" has been posted online at YouTube.

"Profit of Doom" comes off TYPE O NEGATIVE's latest album, "Dead Again", which entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 18. The CD sold just over 22,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 27 on The Billboard 200 chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The album is the follow-up to 2003's "Life Is Killing Me", which debuted on The Billboard 200 chart at No. 39 in June 2003 after registering a first-week sales tally of 27,000 copies. TYPE O NEGATIVE's best-selling album to date is 1994's "Bloody Kisses", which has shifted around a million copies in the U.S.

TYPE O NEGATIVE, whose first LP, "Slow, Deep and Hard", was issued in 1991, fulfilled their contractual obligations to longtime label Roadrunner with the release of "Life Is Killing Me" and has since signed with SPV Records.
