U.K.'s BLOODSTOCK OPEN AIR Festival Caps Attendance

May 29, 2007

The U.K.'s premier metal festival — Bloodstock — has confirmed that they have capped the festival at 7,000 tickets for this year's monster metal event at Catton Hall, Walton On Trent.

Due to phenomenal demand the organizers have taken the unprecedented decision to limit the amount of attendees to the Derbyshire-based festival.

The announcement of high-profile metal acts such as IN FLAMES, LACUNA COIL, ARCH ENEMY and TESTAMENT has sent demand through the roof. Band booker Victoria Gregory says, "We have never experienced anything like this in all the years we have been organizing festivals. The quality of the main stage bands and the extended period has contributed to Bloodstock already reaching over 50% of our target figure. At this rate we anticipate selling out before too long."

Bloodstock's reputation for supporting emerging talent and discovering new bands has not gone unnoticed with those in the know. With the festival expanding to three days and three performing areas — including a chill-out area and the famous metal karaoke sessions — Bloodstock's reputation has been enhanced considerably.

With the cream of metal, extra days, more stages, specially selected bands and a growing credibility it's no wonder that tickets are selling so quickly. If you want to be a part of this award winning festival, now is the time to purchase your ticket or else you may just have to wait until the 2008 festival.
